Control Specialists, Inc. is looking for a qualified Technical Sales Representative to provide unparalleled service and products to their customer base. We specialize in industrial boilers/burners, combustion flame safety, process instrumentation and PLC control systems. With over 35 years experience, our company provides professional and efficient combustion, process and HVAC solutions within IL/IN/KY. Compensation commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
•Assist team in providing clients with diverse design solutions for their boiler applications.
•Offer education and insight on combustion equipment, accessories and parts currently available as well as innovative systems being introduced in the market.
•Provide clients with information and technical expertise to ensure they are able to ultimately provide a premier solution to their clients.
•Work effectively with all involved parties from sales to commissioning teams to ensure top level customer satisfaction.
•Work in conjunction with the team to coordinate sales and business development activities as well as share opportunities and information with relevant team members.

Education And Experience
•Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology desired.
•Prefer 3 years of related process control experience.
•Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and HVAC concepts and operations.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to build rapport and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers.
•Strong problem-solving and closing ability.
•Ability to evaluate urgency of situations and prioritize tasks.
•Highly organized with an attention to detail.
•Computer literacy required.

Field Service Technician

Full Time

Job Summary
Performing service work at client sites on combustion and control instrumentation systems across a wide variety of industries and applications. The service work performed can include any of the following: troubleshooting, calibration, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs. Communication skills, flexibility, responsiveness and technical knowledge are critical in effectively serving our client needs.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities
•Installation and repair of industrial control systems (40%)
•Perform certified calibrations on a variety of controls and instrumentation (30%)
•Analyze and problem-solve control and electrical issues (30%)
•Effectively communicate with client's plant personnel
•Maintain field service reports and expenses
•Maintain company truck and test equipment
•Identifying opportunities for upgrades and additional repairs
•Training support as needed

Education And Experience
•Two-year technical degree and/or 5 years of related work experience
•Familiar with OSHA 10, OSHA, or NFPA 70e safety rules and regulations
•Proficient in using multimeters and test equipment
•CCST certified, HVAC Certification or state electricians license is a plus

•Excellent interpersonal skills; able to represent Control Specialists in a professional manner
•Self-motivated
•Computer savvy with knowledge in Microsoft Word & Excel
•Positive attitude with the ability to adapt in demanding situations
•Good driving record

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
•Able to work in very high and low temp areas
•Able to work extended hours when needed
•Ability to bend, climb stairs, and lift over 75 pounds
•Ability to be on call to work weekends and holidays as necessary
•Willing and able to travel with overnight stays up to 10-20% within a year's time
